This year we are excited to be able to offer a fun and engaging ‘Learn to Play Cricket’ session in conjunction with our very popular turf ball competition on Friday afternoons.
The structure of the afternoon is as follows:
3:45pm – 4:30pm Cricket Drills and Mini Games (On the grass field adjacent to Hockey Clubrooms)
4:30pm – 5:15pm Turf Ball (On Hockey Turf)
While the turf is being set up for Turf Ball a new Cricket program will be run on the grass field very similar to the current minkey hockey set up. Hale School Old Boys (also very handy cricketers) will help coach the small groups each week which will be overseen by PE Teachers. There is no need for parent involvement in these sessions.
Turf Ball (modified floorball on the hockey turf) will be less formal than in previous years. Individual Registrations will be taken, and the teams will be divided up each week from the children who are present.
P-2’s Age Groups
The P-2’s Age Group will take Nominations Individually. The teams will be organised on a Bibs and Shirts Basis each weekly.
