We are looking for senior players within our club to pass on their hockey skills and knowledge to the younger generation of our club by coaching one our junior boys or girls teams.
We are a club that is expanding quickly, and we now have many teams that still require coaches. You may not be aware that ALL senior players who coach a junior team, receive free fees for the season.
The grades we still require coaches for are the 7/8 and the 9/10s.
The commitment for a 7/8 team would be Thursday from 5:15 – 6:15 and then a game on Saturday morning with varied times.
The commitment for a 9/10 team would be Wednesday night at either 5:15pm – 6:15pm or 6:15pm – 7:15pm. You can pick your time. The games for the 9/10’s are played on a Sunday morning.
So, please really think carefully about giving up your time, saving yourself some money and sharing your skills with the future senior players of this club.
If you are unable to commit to a whole season, you can still help us by assisting at the training sessions and the trial days in the next few weeks. Training begins next week, and we would really love some help for two or three weeks to run some basic drills, until the teams are selected.

With the trial sessions, we require assistance for Friday 18th and 25th and Sunday 20th and 27th March.
Friday 18th and 25th March:
5:00pm to 7:00pm (5/6 Boys)
7:00pm to 9:00pm (7/8 Boys)
Sunday 20th and 27th March:
1:00pm to 2:30pm (7/8 Girls)
2:30pm to 4:00pm (9/10 Girls)
4:00pm to 5:30pm (9/10 Boys)
Please really think about all the great coaches you have had in your hockey career and use the knowledge you have gained from them to inspire young boys and girls to keep playing this great sport at a fantastic club.
So please convince a friend or commit yourself and coach a team, it is very rewarding to watch the players develop individually and as a team. I will be there to support you, if you need advice or assistance throughout the season, you won’t be on your own.
